My Growth as a Digital Artist

Ever since I was a kid, I've always loved drawing. And so, when I first got my iPad, I tried doing digital art. The app that I've been using up until now was IbisPaint, and I wasn't really used to it at first. Not to mention, I was also bad at anatomy that time. However, I continued because why not? It was fun despite me being terrible at it. And what I didn't realize was that I was actually improving each time.

This was my first digital drawing. It was inspired from my favorite childhood anime show called Fairy Tail. The line art was shaky, and the coloring needs a little more depth to it too. I know, it wasn't as horrific as you thought. But we can all agree that it needs a lot of shaping, 'no?

This one right here is my latest drawing. As you can see, the difference between this and the previous photo is huge, right? This one is more detailed. I am finally able to make a face that doesn't look asymmetrical, my shading got better, and I discovered perspectives as well. Overall, you can clearly see the improvement. If I could meet my younger self, I'd say that I grew a lot as an artist.

And I am very, very proud of myself for that.
