She Who Became My Inspiration

Image
I met this person when I was on my 7th grade. I was from Manila, and I just moved to Cavite to start my junior high school life. I still remember the exact moment when I first noticed her as I entered the class. She was laughing out loud at the back, and all the attention of our classmates seem to gravitate around her. But one thing for sure, I never thought that she'll become someone special.           Although we started on a wrong foot, we somehow managed to work things out in the end. It still amazes me how I still have a lot to discover, despite knowing each other for 5 years already. The more I learn about her, the more I realize how much she means to me. She wasn't perfect. In fact, her flaws can be easily seen. Yet, nothing changed. I still look at her the same.           Now that she moved to Japan for good, some things would probably remind me of her. How Music Helps Me on a Daily Basis

Image
M usic has always been my c ompanion. Whenever I'm feeling down, I just open my playlist and let it take my mind somewhere else. Music helps me to silence everything around me. The noises, hateful comments, and unnecessary drama, I was able to block those by putting a pair of earphones and blasting my volume. I wasn't much of a talker; I was always viewed as quiet and mysterious. And so, every time I go out, music has been my only escape to avoid loneliness in this so loud yet empty world.          This is what my playlist looks like. Songs are separated depending on what my mood is. Happy, sad, confident, in love, etc. Some are even combined because there are so many emotions that we can feel in just a day. At least, music is there to help me cope with it.         It even helped me to discover that I can play musical instruments such as guitar and piano. Because I have this thing where I ofte...

My Growth as a Digital Artist

Image
E ver since I was a kid, I've always  loved drawing. And so, when I first got my iPad, I tried doing digital art. The app that I've been using up until now was IbisPaint , and I wasn't really used to it at first. Not to mention, I was also bad at anatomy that time. However, I continued because why not? It was fun despite me being terrible at it. And what I didn't realize was that I was actually improving each time.          This was my first digital drawing. It was inspired from my favorite childhood anime show called Fairy Tail . The  line art was shaky, and the coloring needs a little more depth to it too. I know, it wasn't as horrific as you thought. But we can all agree that it needs a lot of shaping, 'no?          This one right here is my latest  drawing. As you can see, the difference between this and the previous photo is huge, right? This one is more detailed. I am fi...
